12-22-25   THOUGHTS

Our reading acknowledges God and His place.  Our joy in praise should follow with shouting and thankfully.  “Come, let us worship and bow down.”  Our “kneeling before God” is beautifully appropriate.  This is a stance of the mind as well as the body!  As the people of His pasture, we must listen with open hearing, and submit.  This is right and good for us!

Ps 95:1-8a     O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.  2  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.  3  For the LORD is a great God And a great King above all gods,  4  In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are His also.  5  The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land. 6  Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.  7  For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice,  8  Do not harden your hearts,

Our Prayer:
May we learn, O Lord, the kneeling of the mind and body that is right for us.  Keep our hearts open and soft to Your word.  May we seek You with our all.  Help us to continually see the joy of Your salvation as we come before Your presence with thanksgiving.  You are our Lord and Maker.  All praise and thanksgiving to our great God.  In the name of the One who saves us,   Amen.
